Why it exists
Translators know the drill: jobs arrive in all kinds of formats, at any hour, from a client who doesn't want their document ending up in anyone's cloud. The usual tools are powerful, but heavy to install and maintain.
Subtradia was born from a simple idea: that the powerful option is also the fast one. You open the website, drop the file and work with translation memory, glossary and quality assurance. And when you finish, you export in the same format it arrived in.

Your file is yours.
The document and the video open in your browser. The video is never uploaded and, if you work without an account, neither are your texts: nothing leaves your computer.

No installers, per-seat licences or endless wizards. You drop the file and start translating. Settings, when you need them.

Translation memory, glossary, quality assurance, audio waveform, CPS, .sdlppx packages with their statuses… What you use every day in your work.

With transparency.
With an account, your projects are stored on the server so you can open them from anywhere, and they aren't end-to-end encrypted. If a client requires strict confidentiality, we recommend working without an account.
Who is behind it
Subtradia is an independent project that grows by listening to the people who use it. We read every problem report, and many of its features started as a suggestion.
