Frequently asked questions
How do I move subtitles earlier or later?
Type the offset in seconds (for example, 1.5 or -2) or as a timecode (00:00:01,500). A negative value moves them earlier. Any that would end before second 0 are removed.
The subtitles drift out of sync little by little. What do I do?
It's usually a frame rate difference between the video and the subtitles, for example from 25 to 23.976 fps. Choose the right speed change and the timings are adjusted proportionally.
Are the styles lost?
Converting from ASS to ASS keeps the styles, and from VTT to VTT, the positions. Between different formats, the text, line breaks, and the italics and bold each format supports are kept.
