The service

Subtradia is a translation and subtitling editor that works in the browser. It's provided by Carlos Andrés Vázquez Vicente; you can write to us at support@subtradia.com.

You can use it without an account: then your projects are stored only in your browser. With an account, they're also stored on our server so you can open them from any device and share them. By creating the account you accept these terms and the privacy policy, which explains what data we process and how.

Your account

• You must be at least 14 years old and give an email address that is yours.
• Look after your password: whatever is done with your account is taken to be done by you. If you think someone has got into it, change the password and sign out of the other devices from “Your account”.
• An account is for one person. To work with others, share your projects with them.

Your content

• It's yours. Your projects, texts, translations, memories, glossaries and videos remain yours. You only allow us to store them, process them and show them to you and to the people you share them with, just as much as is needed to provide the service.
• We don't use them to train artificial intelligence models or for any other purpose.
• You must have the right to use what you upload. If you work with client texts subject to confidentiality, it's up to you whether you can store them in an account: projects on the server are not end-to-end encrypted. Without an account, nothing leaves your browser.
• Make backups: you can download all your projects whenever you like from “Your account”, and each project from the editor.

Acceptable use

Don't use Subtradia to:

• do anything illegal, or to store or share content that infringes other people's rights;
• try to get into other people's accounts or projects, or get around the service's limits;
• attack, overload or automate the service abusively, or to send malicious software.

Third-party services

If you connect an artificial intelligence or machine translation service (for example Claude, OpenAI, DeepL or Google), you do so with your own key and under its terms. What you choose to send them leaves your computer for them; we're not responsible for what they do with it or for what they charge you.

Plans

Subtradia can be used for free. Some accounts have a Premium plan with extras (for example, themes with backgrounds). If paid plans are ever offered, their prices and conditions will be shown before you sign up for them.

Availability and liability

• We do our best to keep Subtradia working well and available, but it's offered as is: it may have faults, change or be interrupted, for example for maintenance.
• What you keep only in your browser depends on it: if you clear its data, it's lost.
• Machine translation and AI can get things wrong: always review what you deliver.
• To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damage or for loss of data or profits. None of this limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Closing and suspension

• You can delete your account whenever you like from “Your account”; your projects on the server are deleted with it.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where possible, we'll let you know first and you'll be able to download your projects.

Changes and governing law

• If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date, and announce important changes inside the app.
• They're governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you can go to the courts where you live.
